Feng Shui Consultations

The expression FENG SHUI comes from the Cantonese dialect of the Chinese language – feng means ‘wind’ and shui means ‘water’.

Storms are created when it is too windy and floods occur when there is too much water.  Feng shui is the balancing of wind and water.   This ancient science and art has a broader meaning however.  Feng covers wind, air, gas, clouds, energy fields and rays, radiation, storms and typhoons. Included in feng interpretation are features that direct or affect the smooth flow of wind, examples being hills, mountains, rocks, buildings and man-made structures.Shui includes lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, waterfalls, all running water, water bodies, swamps, rain, roads, streets, ice, snow as well as plants and other living things nourished by them.

Some masters say Feng Shui is the practice of natural science.  Others say Feng Shui is ‘correct placement’ of objects.  Whatever the interpretation, all agree that feng shui is about creating a more conducive, healthy and harmonious environment for living and working to enhance health and prosperity and to provide abundance for the family.

We all experience ‘ups’ and ‘downs’ in our life –

Feng shui helps enhance the ‘ups’ and minimize the ‘downs’.   A Feng Shui consultation involves house/office visits to examine the flow of energy.  If there is negative/blocked energy the Feng Shui Consultant may require you to rearrange furniture, change colours, etc and even suggest you put ‘cures’ in certain areas. Circumstances in our lives that may be stagnating or getting out of hand sometimes get transformed within seconds of the ‘cure’ being placed.
